Topic 1: Engaging Hooks and Introductions

 Grabbing Your Audience's Attention: Engaging Hooks and Introductions
 

This topic is broken up into three (3) parts:

  1. Digital Module: Engaging Hooks
    • This module gives you the building blocks to start your presentation strong, and grab your audience’s attention right from the start
  2. Digital Module: Introducing Your Presentation
    • This module will teach you how to structure and develop your introduction so that your presentation starts in the best possible way.
  3. Workshop and Submission
    • Come along and practice the skills you’ve learnt in the two previous digital modules, and apply those skills to a live example that you can submit for feedback by our expert teachers

Topic 2: Structuring Ideas and Signposting

 Making It Easy To Follow: Structuring Ideas and Signposting
 

This topic is broken up into three (3) parts:

  1. Digital Module: Clear Topic Transitions
    • This module teaches you how to let your audience know when you are moving from one topic to another clearly, so they can understand and follow your presentation more easily.
  2. Digital Module: Signposting
    • This module will teach you how to use signposting language effectively so that your audience knows the structure of your talk and can follow the presentation more easily.
  3. Workshop and Submission
    • Come along and practice the skills you’ve learnt in the two previous digital modules, and apply those skills to a live example that you can submit for feedback by our expert teachers.

Topic 3: Voice Techniques - Stress and Pausing

 Speaking with Impact: Voice Techniques - Stress and Pausing
 

This topic is broken up into three (3) parts:

  1. Digital Module: Stress and Pausing
    • This module teaches you how to use stress for impact, and how pausing can be used to draw your audience’s attention to key information in your presentation.
  2. Digital Module: Using Intonation
    • This module will teach you how to use intonation effectively and make your presentation sound more interesting and engaging.
  3. Workshop and Submission
    • Come along and practice the skills you’ve learnt in the two previous digital modules, and apply those skills to a live example that you can submit for feedback by our expert teachers.

Topic 4: Summarising Effectively and Creating Emphasis

 Finishing Strong: Summarising Effectively and Creating Emphasis
 

This topic is broken up into three (3) parts:

  1. Digital Module: Summarising Effectively
    • This module supports you to wrap up your presentation and clearly summarise your main points.
  2. Digital Module: Creating Emphasis
    • This module will teach you how leave your audience with some clear take away information from your presentation that you want them to remember.
  3. Workshop and Submission
    • Come along and practice the skills you’ve learnt in the two previous digital modules, and apply those skills to a live example that you can submit for feedback by our expert teachers
