About the program
The Foundation Program is designed to enable international students to meet the minimum entry requirements for their preferred UQ undergraduate program. The Accelerated Foundation Program runs for 4 months, while the Standard Foundation Program runs for 10 months.
You will select 5 subject courses and study full-time for 5 days a week.
High Achievers Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support international students from eligible countries with the opportunity to study either our Accelerated Foundation Program or Standard Foundation Program in September 2026. The scholarship is a 20% reduction of the coursework fees.
Scholarship value
Based on the 2026 course fees, the scholarship value is:

Eligibility
You must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible:
- Hold a passport from an eligible country*.
- Have academic results that are 80% or above for their Top 4 academic subjects in their final high school academic transcript;
- Have received an unconditional offer for a Relevant program† beginning in September 2026;
- Have not received another scholarship, tuition fee reduction or rebate from UQ or UQC;
- Have not received a full scholarship/ sponsorship from another organisation (applicants with partial scholarships/ sponsorships will be considered at the University’s discretion).

†Relevant program means any full-time Accelerated Foundation Program or Standard Foundation Program that is packaged with an Undergraduate coursework program from The University of Queensland with the exception of: Bachelor of Arts (Hons) or Bachelor of Science (Hons) with Psychology major, Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons), Bachelor of Midwifery, Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Nutrition Sciences / Master of Dietetics Studies, Bachelor of Nursing / Midwifery.
Application process
You do not need to apply for this scholarship. When applying to study the Foundation Program, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
