UQ College offers a range of scholarships and bursaries to empower you by reducing financial barriers, supporting academic success, and recognising potential. We aim to enable underrepresented groups and diverse learners to access quality education and confidently pursue their future goals.
International students
UQ College is committed to providing everyone with the opportunity to learn and grow. We offer a range of scholarships designed to uphold this commitment, giving students from diverse backgrounds around the world the chance to study here in Australia.
High Achievers Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support international students from eligible countries with the opportunity to study either our Accelerated Foundation Program or Standard Foundation Program in September 2026. The scholarship is a 20% reduction of the coursework fees.
Scholarship value
Based on the 2026 course fees, the scholarship value is:
- Standard Foundation Program: $7,256AUD
- Accelerated Foundation Program: $4,988AUD
Eligibility requirements
You must meet all of the following criteria to be eligible:
- Hold a passport from an eligible country (see below).
- Have academic results that are 80% or above for your Top 4 academic subjects in your final high school academic transcript;
- Have received an unconditional offer for a relevant program (see below) beginning in September 2026;
- Have not received another scholarship, tuition fee reduction or rebate from UQ or UQC;
- Have not received a full scholarship/sponsorship from another organisation (applicants with partial scholarships/ sponsorships will be considered at the University’s discretion).

Relevant programs
A relevant program means any full-time Accelerated Foundation Program or Standard Foundation Program that is packaged with an Undergraduate coursework program from The University of Queensland with the exception of: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with Psychology major, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) or Bachelor of Science (Hons) with Psychology major, Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons).
How to apply
You do not need to apply for this scholarship. When applying to study the Foundation Program, you will be automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
UQ English Language Scholarship
The University of Queensland is offering scholarships for Bridging English. The scholarship covers up to 20 weeks of Bridging English. Please see the UQ website for more information.
Integrated English Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support international students from eligible countries to enrol in our Integrated English program. Scholarship recipients must choose to study for a minimum of 15 weeks and up to a maximum of 45 weeks.
The scholarship is available until the final intake starting on 9 November 2026.
Scholarship value
Scholarship recipients will receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees and will have their enrolment fee waived.
Based on 2026 fees, the scholarship value is as follows:

Eligibility requirements
To receive this scholarship, you must:
- Hold a passport from Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam or an eligible country in Europe or Latin America (see below).
- Have an English Language Proficiency of at least IELTS 3.5 (no band below 3.5) or equivalent.
- Have not received another scholarship, tuition fee reduction or rebate from UQ or UQC.
- Have not received a full scholarship/sponsorship from another organisation (partial scholarships/sponsorships will be considered at UQC’s discretion).
- Be willing to participate in marketing activities, including videos, social media posts and testimonials to promote UQ College.

Domestic students
UQ College is dedicated to providing all Australians with the opportunity to study at UQ.
We offer a range of scholarships and bursaries to support domestic students who are:
- From a low socio-economic background
- Regional or remote residents
- Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
UQ College is offering 15 scholarships for students who are from a low socio-economic background, regional and/or remote areas or of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander origin.

Fully funded scholarships ($1,545 each)
Regional or remote
Fully funded scholarships ($1,545 each) plus accommodation for the duration of the program ($2,535 each)
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander

Eligibility requirements
Equity Criteria
Applicants must identify with at least one of the following equity groups:
- Individuals from a low socio-economic background
- Residents of regional or remote areas
- Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
Academic requirements
A minimum Grade B in English and three other academic subjects completed in Year 11.
Deferral policy
The scholarship cannot be deferred.
Supporting documentation
Selected candidates must upload evidence to support their application, which may include:
- Proof of financial circumstances (e.g. Centrelink statement, tax notice)
- Confirmation of regional, rural or remote residency
- Verification of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status
How to apply
You will automatically be considered for one of the scholarships if you meet the eligibility criteria and submit the required documentation. Successful applicants will be notified in writing by UQ College and must accept their scholarship within 2 weeks.
A 50% bursary will be offered to 15 students who study either Pure Mathematics (Mathematical Methods) or General Mathematics. This bursary is intended to support domestic students from either a low Socio-Economic Status (SES) or Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.
Bursary value
Based on 2026 fees, the bursary applies a 50% reduction to fees as follows:
- Pure Mathematics: $1,020 → $510
- General Mathematics: $680 → $340
Eligibility requirements
To be eligible, the student must fulfil all of the following criteria:
- Be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident,
- Indicate in your application for the Online Bridging Course that you would like to apply for the bursary,
- Meet one of the following conditions:
- Be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
- Be from a Low Socio-Economic background
How to apply
- Apply for the Online Bridging Course.
- During the application form, indicate that you would like to apply for the bursary, and which criteria you meet.
- Upload documentation that proves you meet these criteria.
- For Low Socio-Economic Bursary – Your financial circumstances (Centrelink statement, tax notice, etc.)
- For Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Bursary – Proof of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
- Complete the application.
If successful, you will be notified that you have received the bursary once your application has been processed. You must accept the bursary within 2 weeks of receiving this confirmation.
