FEE-FREE Uni Ready (FFUR) Course

To study in a FEE-FREE Uni Ready course, you need to be one of the following:

• Australian citizen completing some study in Australia
• New Zealand citizen or permanent visa holder studying in Australia for the entire duration of your unit(s)
• Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) holder who will be living in Australia for your unit(s)

Remember: meeting the eligibility criteria doesn’t automatically enrol you. You still need to be offered a place and meet UQ College’s entry requirements.
 

If you're in a Commonwealth Supported Place, you’ll see FFUR eCAF under Financials in your mySI-net account.

After generating your eCAF in mySI-net:

1. Check your student email (and your junk folder).
2. Look for an email from ecafsystem@education.gov.au. 
   • This email includes your unique passkey and a link to the eCAF portal.
   • It can take up to 24 hours to arrive.

Still nothing? Contact Student Fees: fees@uq.edu.au.

In mySI-net, there’s a column showing your eCAF status.

• Click 'Retrieve eCAF Status' to refresh it.
• You can also click the status itself to see what it means.

You can fix this by:

1.    Updating your details in mySI-net.
2.    Deleting the incorrect eCAF in the Government eCAF portal.
3.    Going back to mySInet and generating a new eCAF.

Your USI is a 10-digit alpha-numeric ID is a unique identifier assigned only to you.

To study in a FEE-FREE Uni Ready course:

• You must have a USI, and 
• You must verify it before submitting your eCAF.

Getting a USI is free and only takes a few minutes.

• Create one at www.usi.gov.au using a form of ID.
• Already studied a VET course since 2015? You probably already have a USI — don’t make a new one!
