We offer a range of scholarships aimed at upholding this commitment, while providing the opportunity for students from varied backgrounds to study here in Australia.

Foundation Program
About the program
The Foundation Program is designed to enable international students to meet the minimum entry requirements for their preferred UQ undergraduate program. The Accelerated Foundation Program runs for 4 months, while the Standard Foundation Program runs for 10 months.
You will select 5 subject courses and study full-time for 5 days a week.

High Diversity Achievers Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support international students from eligible countries with the opportunity to study either our Accelerated Foundation Program or Standard Foundation Program in September 2025 or February 2026. The scholarship is a 20% reduction of the coursework fees.
Based on the 2025 course fees, the scholarship value is:
Accelerated Foundation Program | $4,750 AUD |
Standard Foundation Program | $6,910 AUD |
Eligibility
You must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
- Students must hold a passport from either Ghana, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Philippines, Sri Lanka, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam or an eligible country in Europe^ or Latin America*.
- Have academic results that are 80% or above for their Top 4 academic subjects in their final high school academic transcript;
- Have received an unconditional offer for a Relevant program† beginning in September 2025 or February 2026;
- Have not received another scholarship, tuition fee reduction or rebate from UQ or UQC;
- Have not received a full scholarship/ sponsorship from another organisation (applicants with partial scholarships/ sponsorships will be considered at the University’s discretion).
^Europe: Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czechia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Montenegro, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Türkiye, United Kingdom.
*Latin America: Argentina, Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Guatemala, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, Jamaica, Martinique, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Saint-Barthelemy, Saint-Martin, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay, Venezuela.
†Relevant program means any full-time Accelerated Foundation Program or Standard Foundation Program that is packaged with an Undergraduate coursework program from The University of Queensland with the exception of: Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science with Psychology major, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) or Bachelor of Science (Hons) with Psychology major, Bachelor of Dental Science (Hons), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Hons), Bachelor of Psychological Science (Hons), Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Hons).
Application Process
Students do not need to apply for this scholarship. When they apply to study the Foundation Program, they will be automatically considered for this scholarship if they meet the eligibility criteria.

Integrated English
About the program
Integrated English is a standalone English language program designed to improve your listening, speaking, reading and writing. It's a flexible program ideal for a range of English levels and learning goals; whether that is further study, employment opportunities, travel, or something else.
Integrated English High-Diversity Scholarship
This scholarship is designed to support international students from eligible countries to enrol in our Integrated English program. Scholarship recipients must choose to study for a minimum of 15 weeks and up to a maximum of 45 weeks. The scholarship is available for courses commencing from 21 July 2025 through to the final intake starting on 9 November 2026. Scholarship recipients will receive a 30% reduction in tuition fees and will have their $250 enrolment fee waived.
Bridging English
About the program
Bridging English is the English language pathway program to The University of Queensland. The program comes packaged with a conditional offer to your chosen UQ degree program.
UQ English Language Scholarship
Offered in partnership with The University of Queensland, this is a full-fee scholarship for a maximum of 15 weeks of Bridging English.
