"Thanks to the encouragement from my classmates, I took my first Learning Advice workshop. The workshop was immensely helpful for me. In there, I had more opportunities to practice English and make new friends. Furthermore, there are many topics in the on how to improve your listening, reading, writing and on interesting topics like ‘getting motivated or ‘wellbeing’. I highly recommend every UQ College student joins a Learning Advice workshop – trust me, you will want to join a workshop again."

'"Talking about your worries about studying or school life is not a sign of weakness. On the contrary, talking to someone about your problems means that you are brave and it can help you a lot. So don't hesitate to talk to the Learning Advisor and Student Advisor about whatever you're struggling with."

"Other than getting feedback, there is also a variety of other learning resources you will get to know to help you study effectively which in lesson there might not be a chance that these are introduced."

"I booked appointments with the Learning Adviser twice, once quite early in the program for advice on study skills for a subject which I was struggling with and later in the program when I was feeling a bit run down and fatigued. Taking their advice for pre-during-post lesson study made a night and day difference with learning and understanding course content. It made difficult subjects much less daunting and more approachable, a game-changer for me! Their advice when I was feeling fatigued truly helped prevent burn out and helped me manage my stress levels."
