Teacher Development for Higher Education Academics
This webinar introduces the EMI-HEd program, designed specifically for higher education staff. You’ll learn what the program covers, how it supports more effective EMI delivery in lectures and tutorials, and what to expect from the schedule and learning activities. You’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss how the program can enhance your teaching practice in your own academic context.
About the program
This program is perfect for higher education academic staff looking to enhance student outcomes by using English as the medium of instruction. With an approach that blends theory with practical application, you’ll develop the skills to confidently apply EMI in your context, adapt lesson delivery and written materials, and use clearer, more purposeful language in seminars and tutorials, creating stronger learning experiences.

About Teacher Development Program Webinars
This three‑part webinar series supports educators at every level who are teaching, or preparing to teach, in English. Our team will run through each of the programs, what they entail and the benefits that you'll receive. This is also your chance to ask any questions that you may have about the program.
Each session will focus on a different teaching context:
- EMI-SEd - For secondary school teachers to teach their respective subjects in English.
- EMI-HEd - For higher education academics to teach their respective courses in English
- EMTP: For English-language teachers to improve their teaching practice in English.
All 3 programs share a common goal: helping educators build confidence, apply practical strategies, and create more engaging, student‑centred learning experiences.
