The UQ College Learning Centre is open from 8.30am - 5pm for self-study. Students can also book a meeting with a UQC Learning Advisor to discuss your study or attend a workshop to meet other students and practise your academic skills. For more information, visit Learning Advice

Where is the UQ College Learning Centre? 

The Learning Centre is located on the ground floor of Building 39A (across the road from UQ College building 14).

What is the UQ College Learning Centre?

The UQ College Learning Centre is a dedicated study space open to all UQ College students for independent study.  It is a bright, airy, comfortable space close to your classroom building where you can study productively without the distractions you have at home. It’s the perfect place to get homework done between classes.  It’s also where you will meet your teachers for consultations, and where appointments with Learning Advisers and Student Advisers take place. 

What facilities does the Learning Centre have?

  • 24 desk spaces with suitable chairs
  • 18 computers.
  • Charging points for your own laptop, as well as data ports to connect your device up to the screens and keyboards available
  • Couch-style seating for relaxed study
  • Support from a Learning Adviser during specified hours (see times displayed in the Learning Centre).
  • Small consultation rooms for teaching staff to meet with students

When is the Learning Centre open?

Students can study there independently between 8:30am and 5pm Monday to Friday. 

UQ Library has one of the largest collections amongst academic libraries in Australia and by far the largest in Queensland.

 

Borrowing rights

As a UQ College student, you have access and borrowing rights at UQ Library. You have access to all UQ Library's eResources and can borrow an unlimited number of general items at a time.

Locations and hours

Get opening hours for the Social Sciences & Humanities Library and the Biological Sciences Library - the two closest libraries to the UQ College building.

To borrow items, go to the helpdesk (AskUs service point) on level 1 of the Social Sciences and Humanities Library and ask to activate your account.  You will need to provide your Australian contact details.
